Detours in Effect on Kakeout Road

Drainage and utility construction underway.

Detours are in effect on Kakeout Road in Butler as construction crews complete work on drainage and utilities in the area.

Butler Councilman Bob Fox told the council and public about the project during the June 21 council meeting and said that after the drainage and utility issues are repaired, curbing will also be completed on the road.

The borough is also in the process of completing , between Hasbrouck and Carey Avenues. After receiving $160 for modification projects from the state Department of Transportation, the borough had money left over, according to Fox, and decided to complete paving on Bartholdi in addition to the utility work being done on the road.
