GOP Council Members Walk Out of Bloomingdale Meeting

Three of the Bloomingdale Council's Republican majority members decided they had heard enough of a presentation on the AvalonBay Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) program by Democrat Councilman Ray Yazdi Tuesday night and left the council meeting. The PILOT program was rejected by council members last month and Yazdi's presentation sought to dispute the arguments one council member made for voting against it.

Bloomingdale Halloween Event Fate Still Unknown

With the second postponement of discussion on the "Nightmare on Bailey Ave." Halloween event, organizers are unsure whether the event will be held this year. The Bloomingdale Council is expected to discuss the issue during Monday's special meeting at 7 p.m.
