Kids Gear Up For Summer Reading

Butler Public Library kicked off their summer reading program Friday.

The kicked off its summer reading program with dozens of kids signing up to participate, watching a balloon twister and playing games at the library Friday.

This summer, the program's theme is "One World, Many Stories" and children who are signed up to participate will read three books, or three chapters of a book, depending on their age, each week in order to win prizes. Children will also be encouraged to attend summer storytime sessions and special events at the library throughout the summer.
