VIDEO: Kinnelon Commemorates 10th Anniversary of 9/11

Borough holds ceremony and dedication of artifact at the Kinnelon Municipal Building Sunday.

The held a ceremony in honor of the tenth anniversary of 9/11 Sunday, inviting Kinnelon residents to participate.

Roses were laid upon the memorial outside the Kinnelon municipal building by friends and relatives of Kinnelon's three victims of the attacks: James Martello, Matthew Yarnell and Seth Morris. Roses were also laid for police officers, responders and all others who were lost in the event.

Prayers were given by Rabbi Helaine Ettinger, Pastor Msgr. John Carroll and the Community Church of Smoke Rise Pastor Brad Smith. and members of the Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Co. who responded were also honored.

At the end of the ceremony, the from the World Trade Center the borough receieved in August was dedicated and unveiled in its permanent display case inside the municipal building. The case was donated by Ernst Hubert, with a plaque inside dedicated by Greg Chrisman.
