Kinnelon Soldier Honored, 'Death Race' Trooper Surrenders Top Tri-Boro News

On Tuesday, Fort Bragg's 82nd Airborne Division held a memorial to honor two of their paratroopers that lost their lives in mid-June and early July.

The second suspended state trooper allegedly involved in a high-speed luxury car escort down the Garden State Parkway in March turned himself in last week on fourth-degree charges of falsifying or tampering with records. Joseph Ventrella, 28, of , is one of two troopers who allegedly escorted the cars to Atlantic City.

According to a union representative from the Kinnelon Education Association, negotiations between KEA and the Board of Education could go into the upcoming school year. On Monday both parties met for with the state-appointed fact finder for more than six hours.
