Little League Parade Discussion, 'Little Mermaid' This Week

Bloomingdale Council will continue discussion on Rafkind Road sidewalk replacement.

Council to Discuss Closing Road for Tri-Boro Little League Parade

The Bloomingdale Council will discuss Tuesday closing roads during the annual Tri-Boro Little League Opening Day parade. Last year and in years past, the players have marched down Hamburg Turnpike toward Anderson Field where vendors (and even Tri-Boro Patch) lined the path to the field. Players were announced one-by-one along with their coaches.

This year's Opening Day ceremonies will be held on April 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The council will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at Bloomingdale Borough Hall.

Rafkind Road Sidewalk Discussion to Continue

After hosting a special meeting to inform the public about a potential assessment project to repair sidewalks on Rafkind Road, including concrete walls and driveway aprons, the Bloomingdale Council will continue discussion on the topic at Tuesday's meeting. Should the project move forward, tax implications would apply to residents of the neighborhood affected.

The classic Disney play will be performed by the Pearl R. Miller Players as the group's third production. The acting and singing group was first formed in January of 2011 by interested students and organized by PRM faculty member Annie Raczko.

The students will perform on the Kinnelon High School stage on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.
