Alleged Home Invaders Sought in Bernardsville Incident

Two armed males broke into a Bernardsville residence on Ballantine Road on Wednesday night, but fled when they encountered the homeowner, authorities said. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to arrest of the individuals.

Mourners Pay Final Respects to Man Killed in Crash 

A funeral for the Bridgewater man killed in a motor vehicle accident last week was held at Blessed Sacrament Church on Washington Valley Road in Martinsville Tuesday morning. Peter Calvelli, 49, was killed last Wednesday when his vehicle was hit head-on by an alleged drunk driver.

Bloody Bagels Served in School Cafeteria Spark Concerns

At least two elementary school students who bought lunch from the Central Avenue School cafeteria two weeks ago purchased bagels that had a cafeteria employee's blood on them.

 

A New York woman was arrested after police found her driving naked, drunk and not remembering she just left the scene of an accident, Sparta Police Sgt. John-Paul Beebe said.

A 64-year-old Morris Plains man has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed on Route 10 in Parsippany last month.

 

The driver and passenger were unharmed after the sport utility vehicle they were in caught on fire Wednesday morning in Wayne.
