Kinnelon seeking applicants for recreation commission and library board.

Have you ever wanted to serve on a board in Kinnelon but have been waiting for an opening? There are a few open seats right now.

That's what you need to know if you live in Kinnelon, but here's a full five things you need to know today if you live in the tri-boro overall:

  1. You Need to Know Kinnelon is Taking Applications for a Library Board Trustee: The board has one opening for a trustee. Those interested can contact Borough Clerk Elizabeth Sebrowski at 973-838-5401.
  2. You Need to Know Kinnelon is Taking Applications For Two Rec Commission Alternates: The Kinnelon Recreation Commission is seeking two alternate members. Those interested should send a letter of interest to Recreation Director Karen Perry at kperry@kinnelonboro.org.
  3. You Need to Know Kinnelon is Also Seeking a Municipal Planner: You can download the application forms from the borough Web site here.
  4. You Need to Know There's a Trout Fishing Contest in Bloomingdale Saturday: The contest will be at Bogue Pond, rain or shine, at 10 a.m.
  5. You Need to Know About the  Flower & Bake Sale: On May 7, the fire department will be having its 7th Annual Flower & Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
