Outdoor Adoption Clinic to Be Held at Preakness Plaza

A list of nearby activities for you and your family.

Maybe you’re looking for a little company, or a furry friend to greet you at the door after a long day of work. Maybe you just love animals and you’re looking for a chance to volunteer and spend some time with other pet lovers.

Whatever the case, Friends of Wayne Animals Inc., a non-profit, all-volunteer area rescue organization based in Wayne, will be holding outside adoptions at Scuffy's Pet Center in the Preakness Shopping Center from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

FOWA, which is celebrating its 25th year of rescue this year, will be showcasing their available animals, and offering literature and information. FOWA will also have members on hand to answer all of your animal-related questions.

FOWA’s goal is to end euthanasia of adoptable animals. That’s why this group cares for homeless animals until a loving home can be found.

The group works out of their homes in the North Jersey area and anyone over 18 who would like to volunteer their time, become a foster parent, or adopt a pet can visit their website or call 973-902-7515 for more information.
