Owner Reunited With Missing Dog at Bloomingdale Animal Shelter

Sure enough, there he was. The nine-month-old Pit bull had run away from home after his two- and four-year-old friends (Brannigan's children) opened the front door. Brannigan said she decided to check the shelter after her father had said he heard of other dogs from the Wanaque area being brought to the shelter by animal control officers. Bloomingdale Regional Animal Shelter Society (BASS) President Ellen Ribitzki said that was exactly the case for Kaos, who was nicknamed Spot by shelter volunteers.

Brannigan said Kaos was a Christmas surprise for her children last year. After a warm reunion with him, Brannigan said she could not wait to tell her kids she had found him.
