Should Bus From Butler to Newark be Eliminated?

NJ Transit considering shutting down route that runs to and from Butler to cut costs.

NJ Transit is considering eliminating a bus route that runs from through Pompton Lakes, Wanaque, Wayne and Little Falls on its way to Newark in an effort to cut annual costs by $340,000, according to NorthJersey.com.

The No. 75 bus route was included among 10 other routes that were announced to possibly be modified to save NJ Transit a projected $3.02 million.

NJ Transit said about 28 people utilize the route from the Wayne Transit Center, on Route 23, to Butler. Those people would not have another bussing option.
