On a cold, windy day that saw snow falling before kickoff, the BBYC Bulldog A Squad faced off against the West Milford Gold squad in Woodland Park, with both teams coming in with 9-0 records for the season.

Led by quarterback Danny Polons, the Bulldogs team showed their resolve to win early when, on fourth down, Will Verrico ran for 19 yards on a fake punt, keeping the initial BBYC drive alive. Verrico, who ran for 158 yards and one touchdown on 18 attempts, partnered with Austin Mickens, who ran for 65 yards and three touchdowns on 11 attempts, to grind out a determined rushing attack that the West Milford defense found themselves unable to keep the brakes on.

On the defensive side of the ball, a stingy Bulldog defense kept a previously potent West Milford offense in check, holding them to a single touchdown in the final minute of the game. Bottling up the Highlander's running attack was Cory Mack, with five tackles (three for a loss) and a forced fumble; Will Verrico, with eight tackles; Danny Polons, with six tackles; Mike Warren, with five tackles (one tackle for a loss) and a sack he and Alfred Battipede shared credit for; Sean Scott with five tackles and Wayde Kenney with five tackles.

Defending against West Milford's air attack were Patrick Brady, Wayde Kenney, Sean Scott and Joe Bastante. Bastante, who intercepted one of the Highlander passes, also recovered a fumble to help keep West Milford's offense off the field.
