Tri-Boro Locals React to Bin Laden's Death

The day after news broke of , tri-boro residents expressed happiness that the al Qaeda terrorist leader was killed, but wariness over whether he is actually dead.

Jim Thomas, of Butler,  said Monday, "Once we see his body, I'll believe he's dead."

President Barack Obama confirmed bin Laden's death in a nationally televised speech Sunday night, saying that bin Laden was killed in a firefight outside Islamabad.

Thomas said if he is dead, he is pleased that American troops "got rid of bin Laden."

Richard Weaver, of Bloomingdale, said that while he's pleased bin Laden is dead, the country still has to do more work to do in the fight against terrorism.
