VIDEO: Protesters, Fans Come Out for Michael Vick

Hear what the quarterback's fans and protesters, had to say about his appearance in Butler.

Whether they love him or hate him, fans and protesters alike came out Sunday to see , on Main Street.

Lining opposite sides of the street, people yelled to each other, debating their intentions for coming to see the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback sign autographs in Butler. Vick was unavailable for comment during the signing.

Vick was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2007 after he pled guilty to leading a dogfighting operation.

"I am here just to let the public know that Michael Vick never paid his dues for what he did, murdering, torturing dogs," Candi Bright said. "He's no role model for a child, at all."

But Vick fans disagreed with the protesters.

"He paid his dues and he has done what he has had to do in order to be at this point," said Andrew Guenther, 18, of Bagota. "I think he's a superstar and I bet if you take any of those protesters over there that they've all had a second chance and I believe that Vick is getting his, and why not celebrate that."

More than 150 fans waited for hours to meet Vick and more than 70 protesters stood across the street, some holding signs and shouting to the fans. Law enforcement officials from several different agencies also patrolled the event.
