2013 Golden Years Tribute

Butler To Honor The Golden Years of
 “Doc”  



August 21, 2012- The Butler Booster
Club and Friends of Dennis will host their 3rd  Annual Coaches Tribute on September 20th.  This year’s Tribute will honor The Golden
Years of Fred “Doc Ingold” and many of the great coaches who coached for him.
The event will coincide with the Bulldogs home football game against Boonton on
September 20 at Memorial Field.



The activities will begin with a small ceremony around 5:00
p.m. to install pavers for Ralph Raythen and Liz Benne in the Butler High
School Athletic Walk of Fame in recognition to their many accomplishments.



Immediately following the Walk of Fame ceremony, there will
be a Tailgate Party on the Hempstead Field side of the home bleachers for
fellow teammates/classmates, players, students and colleagues from the “Doc”
Ingold era. The Booster Club will have food available for purchase for anyone
wishing eat the event.

At a half-time ceremony, a plaque honoring Doc and his
coaches (Pat Barry, Liz Benne, Kennedy Carpenter, Jack Davies, Marge Giles, Genie
Grower, Rod Hamilton, Tom Hamilton, Dan Hoeflinger, Bob Jones, Art Pasquale,
Ralph Raythen, Richard Rosner, James Rutzler, Jim Smith, Paul Weiner will be presented for installation on the refreshment stand,
next to the plaques of Jack Davies, Marge Giles and Bob Jones, the previous
tribute honorees. Most of the former coaches will be present at the event.



A post game get-together is scheduled at the Knights of
Columbus on Hamburg Turnpike in Bloomingdale. This cash bar event is another occasion
to continue the festivities.
