The non-profit helps a variety of local organizations annually, hosts blood drives, and throws a Halloween party for children at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.

The organization also awards thousands of dollars in scholarships annually to high school students. Last year the group awarded five scholarships worth $5,500. The group would like to award seven scholarships this year worth about $8,000.

Participants and judges are needed for the cook off.

The cook off will be held at the Kiel Avenue firehouse from noon to 3 p.m. Jan. 26. People of any age may make an entry. There is a $10 entry fee.
