AvalonBay Celebrates Grand Opening

About half of the facility's units have already been rented out.

A grand opening was held for the newest residential complex in Bloomingdale last week, AvalonBay.

Avalon Bloomingdale features 174 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and six townhouses. The facility features a clubhouse, fitness center, swimming pool, and picnic area.

“We are delighted to welcome [AvalonBay Communities] to Bloomingdale and Passaic County,” said Mayor Jonathan Dunleavy in a statement. “I would like to congratulate and commend all those, both at AvalonBay and in our own Bloomingdale community, who have worked so hard on the Avalon Bloomingdale project. Their dedication and commitment have contributed significantly to increasing both the economic vibrancy and physical beauty of our town.”

Dunleavy said Tuesday that about half of the units have been leased out and 30 perfect are occupied.

One-bedroom units cost between $1,570 and $1,730 to rent monthly, two-bedroom units between $1,950 and $2,115.

“AvalonBay takes great pride in providing our residents with a remarkable living experience and in making a positive contribution to the broader community, and we look forward to continuing both traditions here at Avalon Bloomingdale,” said Ron Ladell, AvalonBay’s senior vice president of development in New Jersey.

AvalonBay owns 276 apartment complexes in 12 states.
