Bloomingdale Collecting Donations for Toys for Tots Program

New, unwrapped toys can be donated until Dec. 16.

The Borough of Bloomingdale is accepting toys for its annual Toys for Tots charity drive.

Toys for Tots is national donation program sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps. The initiative collects and distributes toys to millions of underprivileged and sick children during the Christmas season.

New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off in the box outside of municipal clerk Jane McCarthy’s office on the third floor of the Bloomingdale Borough Hall. Deadline to drop off toys is Dec. 16.

“Please help make one child’s Christmas a memorable one,” McCarthy said in a post online explaining the toy drive. “The ultimate success of this program depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of the people who donate the toys.”

For more information, call McCarthy at 973-838-0778, ext. 239.
