Bloomingdale Kicks Off Toys for Tots Program

Borough seeking new, unwrapped toys.

The kicked off its annual toy drive program Tuesday to benefit children whose parents cannot afford to purchase gifts during the holiday season.

Residents are asked to donate new, unwrapped toys by Dec. 14 to the borough clerk's office.

"The ultimate success of this program depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of the people who donate the toys," said Borough Clerk Jane McCarthy, coordinator of the borough's drive.

The borough in the national toy drive sponsored by the Toys for Tots Foundation for the past several years.

Those interested in donating a toy should drop it off at 101 Hamburg Turnpike between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
