Santa Speaks of Tri-Boro in Exclusive Q&A

We catch up with the man in red.

One would think, having so many places to visit around the world, the tri-boro would not stick out in Santa Claus' mind. But as we learned from him in an exclusive interview, Santa has a special place in his heart for , and kids and said the tri-boro is one of his favorite places to visit.

Tri-Boro Patch caught up with jolly old Saint Nick this week to talk about how the reindeer have been preparing for Saturday night, what Mrs. Claus has been up to and why he is excited to visit our area.

Q: Are you ready for Christmas?
A: Santa's very ready. The elves have been working very hard to get the toys ready for children and to make sure all the lists are filled.

Q: What are some toys kids have asked for?
A: There's been a lot of Nintendo DS', a lot of Xbox 360's. Pretty much a lot of electronic toys. A lot of younger girls want some dolls and things of that nature.

Q: We haven't had a lot of snow here in the tri-boro. How could that affect your travels?
A: The reindeer are well-equipped for snow and not-so-snow situations.

Q: How have the reindeer been preparing?
A: Lots of time on the treadmills. They've been eating right and getting lots of exercise. A carrot a day keeps them right for Christmas.

Q: And what about Mrs. Claus? How has she been preparing?
A: She's been baking cookies and keeping Santa fat and jolly.

Q: What time will you head out on Chrstimas Eve?
A: That's hard to say, that's a tough one. It depends on what time zone I start in. We'll probably work from the West Coast and come right across. Bloomingdale and the tri-boro area will definitely be a hot spot to hit.

Q: And why is that?
A: I always like coming to Bloomingdale, Butler and Kinnelon. They leave the best cookies.

Q: What is your favorite type of cookie?
A: Chocolate Chip.

Q: Anything else you would like to add?
A: I just want to say Merry Christmas to all the children in the surrounding area and thank you all for making it so easy. I like to see everybody on the nice list rather than the naughty list.
