Lorraine Batvinskas, 82, Member of Bloomingdale Senior Citizens Club

She was a parishioner of St. Anthony's R.C. Church in Butler for more than 30 years.

Lorraine M. Batvinskas, 82, of Butler, died Nov. 12.

She was a graduate of the Wyoming Seminary in Kingston, Pa in 1951.

Before retiring, she worked for the Kinnelon Board of Education for more than 40 years. He held various jobs in the district, including food service director, but was most recently a playground aide.

She was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s R.C. Church in Butler since 1980.

She was a member of the Columbiettes Counsel 943 for nearly 50 years and was the state president for three years.

She was a member of the Butler XYZ Club and the Bloomingdale senior citizens group.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Close and her husband Scott, sister Deborah Carver, cousins Patricia Fabricious, Peter Grigor, Cheryl Marsh, and nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Morrison Funeral Home in Butler. A funeral mass will be Wednesday, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s R.C. Church in Butler.
