2 Killed After Jeep Flips in Woods

All four occupants were ejected from the vehicle that was found overturned in a wooded area about 100 yards off Green Pond Road, the prosecutor's office said.

All four occupants were ejected and two died after a Jeep Wrangler flipped over and came to rest about 100 yards off the roadway in a wooded area on Green Pond Road in Rockaway Township near the Jefferson border early Sunday morning, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said.

The driver, Kathryn E. Schneider, 20, of Rockaway, was pronounced dead at Chilton Memorial Hospital, the prosecutor's office said. Ray A. Henderson, 21, of Franklin, died during transport to Chilton, the prosecutor's office said.

Zachary T. Wright, 22, of Montague, was transported to Morristown Medical Center where he remains in critical condition, the prosecutor's office said.

Joseph G. Lanzo, 21, of Hewitt, was transported to Orange County Medical Center in Middletown, N.Y., where he is in stable condition, the prosecutor's office said.

According to Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, the 2001 Jeep Wrangler was found overturned resting on the driver's side about 100 yards off the roadway in a wooded area near 1279 Green Pond Road Sunday at about 1 a.m.

The Rockaway Township Police Department along with the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Vehicular Homicide Unit and the Morris County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Section are currently investigating the fatal crash.
