95 Bags of Suspected Heroin Seized in Butler

Crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia also found in car, police said.

Three men were arrested in Monday after being found with 95 bags of suspected heroin in their vehicle, police said.

The driver, Vincenzo Milazzo, 22, of Sussex, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle in possession of controlled dangerous substances, failure to move over for an emergency vehicle, failure to exhibit a valid insurance document, failure to maintain a lane and failure to wear a seat belt.

Passengers Zachary Coppolino, 24, and Brandon Campbell, 21, both of Wantage, were each charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled dangerous substances in a motor vehicle.

Coppolino and Milazzo were sent to the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail. Campbell was released on his own recognizance. All three are scheduled to appear in Morris County Superior Court.

According to , the vehicle Milazzo was driving on Route 23 North was stopped at about 9:30 p.m. when Patrolman Jarred Schmiedhauser noticed the white Honda Civic failed to move over while approaching stopped patrol cars.

Schmiedhauser spoke to Milazzo and noticed fresh injuries on his arms that were consistent with drug use, police said. Officers investigated the vehicle and found several drug-related items, police said. While investigating, police said they noticed rear-seat passenger Coppolino attempt to hide an item in the rear floorboard of the vehicle. When officers searched the vehicle, they found the 95 bags of suspected heroin, police said.

Police said they also found a small quantity of crack cocaine in Coppolino's waistband and a small quantity of crack cocaine on Campbell, as well as a glass smoking pipe with marijuana residue.
