Alleged Cash Thief Arrested in Bloomingdale

Police said about $200 stolen.

arrested a man they believe had stolen about $200 cash earlier in the borough on Tuesday.

Cody Woodard, 19, of Oak Ridge, was charged with theft and released after posting $1,500 bail.

Police said they received information about Woodard around 11:19 p.m. after the alleged theft and were able to locate him on Reeve Avenue. Woodard was transported to the police station where he was later released with a court summons.

William Dellapenna, 59, of , was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and issued a summons for speeding after police stopped the vehicle he was driving on Union Avenue on Sunday.

Police stopped the car around 4 p.m. and said Dellapenna allegedly exhibited signs of use of marijuana. Police also said a container was found in the vehicle with what was believed to be marijuana, as well as an item used to ingest controlled dangerous substances.

Dellapenna was arrested and transported to the police station. He was later released with a court summons.

Ptl. Michael Fatzer responded to a Hamburg Turnpike business on Monday around 9 a.m. where police said a vehicle was involved in an unreported accident.

Police said they discovered on the scene that a parked vehicle that did not belong to the business had struck a vehicle that did belong to the business. The driver of the vehicle that struck the business’ vehicle, Richard Ward, 30, of Butler, was located and police said he allegedly had been involved in the accident the previous night and left his vehicle parked in the location. Ward was issued summonses for leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, parking on private property and careless driving. He was released with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.
