Alleged Fugitive Arrested in Bloomingdale

Bloomingdale police, along with U.S. Marshals, arrested 33-year-old.

A wanted 33-year-old alleged fugitive was arrested in Bloomingdale Wednesday with help from the U.S. Marshals Service.

According to , AnnaMarie Damato, who was previously arrested in New Hampshire for narcotic distribution offenses, was apprehended as she was leaving an apartment at Waterfall Village.

Police said Damato had lived in New Hampshire and Massachusetts before moving to and had active warrants for her arrest from the Rockingham County Sheriff's Department in New Hampshire. She was arrested by Bloomingdale's newest police officer Ptl. Kevin Peirsel, Det. Sgt. Steve Caputo and two U.S. Marshals.

She was transported to the Passaic County jail on a no bail warrant, police said, and New Hampshire authorities were contacted for extradition, which police said will be handled by the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office in conjunction with the Rockingham County Sheriff's Department.
