UPDATE: Allegedly Intoxicated Woman Arrested in Butler, Bloomingdale Sunday

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bloomingdale and Butler Police Departments. It does not indicate a conviction.

A West Milford woman was arrested in both Butler and Bloomingdale Sunday after she was found to be allegedly involved in a disturbance at a Route 23 apartment and then later found to allegedy be intoxicated and walking in the eastbound lane of Hamburg Turnpike, in Bloomingdale, at 11:25 p.m.

Kathleen Decker, 47, was charged with disorderly conduct in Bloomingdale, as well as aggravated assault of a police officer after police said she struck Bloomingdale Police Ptl. Michael Fatzer in the face with her fist and allegedly kicked him in the leg while he was trying to process the arrest. In Butler, Decker was charged with disorderly conduct as well.

Butler police said they responded to the apartment on Route 23 where they had received a report of a disturbance at about 10:06 p.m. Upon arriving at the apartment, police said they observed Decker in a dispute with another female. When the police officers intervened, police said Decker refused to comply and allegedly continued with her disruptive behavior before being placed under arrest.

Decker was transported to the Butler police station and then later released to a family member with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.

About an hour and a half later, Bloomingdale police said they responded to a report of a female walking in the roadway when they found Decker. Police also said she allegedly showed signs of intoxication while she was walking in the roadway.

Decker was released on bail and issued a ticket to appear in court at a later date.
