Bloomingdale Fire Dept. Puts Out Second Story Fire on Grove Street

Residents evacuated Sunday morning.

The responded and put out a second-story large fire on Grove Street Sunday morning after evacuated residents from the home.

Police said they responded at 5:21 a.m., just minutes after receiving the call. Police said the fire department was able to extinguish the fire, which they believe was caused by two gas grill propane tanks. Building Department Official Dan Hagberg inspected the scene and determined that there was no structural damage to the residence. 

Police said there were also no signs of foul play.
