Bloomingdale Man Struck by Off-Duty Pizza Delivery Man, Report Says

Nicolas McKenna, 33, was hit while on Hamburg Turnpike Monday, police said.

An off-duty pizza delivery driver hit a Bloomindale man from behind on Monday night and is now facing motor vehicle charges, police said.

Nicholas McKenna, 33, was hit by the passenger’s side mirror of the gray 2005 Mazda Justin Ngo, 20, was driving, NJ.com reported.

McKenna was knocked into a snow bank, the report stated. Police responded to the scene at 9:22 p.m. after they received a report of a hit-and-run crash involving pizza delivery car and a pedestrian, Sgt. James Macintosh told the website. He declined medical treatment after the crash.

Ngo, a Mountain Lakes resident, turned himself to police later that night; he told officers he didn’t know that his vehicle had struck someone, the report states.

Ngo was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and careless driving, Macintosh said.

Not a badly written article if you are a beginning journalist but to not put in what town the accident happened in by an editor! shame on you... Sgt. James Macintosh is a Riverdale police officer, a fact that was totally overlooked in your article.

I address you Mr. Tom Fox, The shear fact that you took valuable time and resources from the Patch's comment reviewal team as well as the processing power of the article server room to input and approve your comment simply amazes me. Your 'fact' about the officer is nonsense. The 'cop' is simply a golem who would surely go unrecognized despite the town it represents.
