Bloomingdale Police Find Missing Elderly Person Near Brush Fire

Police said friend of Morse Lakes resident had disappeared.

located an elderly person who had gone missing and was burned by a brush fire off of Ridge Road Thursday.

According to police, the resident of a Morse Lakes home said the elderly person had been visiting and disappeared shortly before 7 p.m. While Ptl. Gary Walker was still on the scene in Morse Lakes, police said a 911 call came in about a brush fire off of Ridge Road, also in the Morse Lakes community.

Walker, as well as Sgt. Robert Ressland responded to the brush fire, as well as the and the New Jersey Forest Fire Service. Police said they found the elderly person at the location of the fire, having suffered several burns from the fire. The individual was transported to Chilton Hospital by the Tri-boro First Aid Squad.

Also from the Bloomingdale Police Department, police responded last Tuesday to a motor vehicle accident on Hamburg Turnpike in which police said a pickup truck, being operated by James Mink, 49, of West Milford, attempted to make a left turn into the parking lot of at about 6:05 p.m. in front of a motorcycle being operated by Keith Mazzucco, 37, of Bloomingdale.

Police said Mazzucco's motorcycle dropped and slid into the side of the truck. Police said Mazzucco suffered numerous lacerations to his body and was transported to Chilton Hospital by Tri-boro First Aid Squad.

Police said Mink was issued a summons for careless driving and Ptl. Steven Smith, who responded to the scene, allegedly observed signs of intoxication on Mazzucco, charging him with driving while intoxicated. Police said the Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene, as fluids had leaked onto the road from the motorcycle. Police said Ptl. Dan Fletcher, Ptl. Marc Loveland and Ptl. David Terpstra assisted at the scene.

Kathleen Ulin-Noss, 46, of West Milford, was arrested on Thursday for having an outstanding warrant out of Fort Lee. Police said Ptl. Robert Grabowski stopped her vehicle on Hamburg Turnpike at about 1 p.m. at which point Grabowski discovered the warrant. Ulin-Noss was transported to the police station, where police said she was able to post bail and was released.
