Bloomingdale Police Help Mother Find Her Daughter

Mother reported daughter had been gone for several hours.

helped a concerned mother locate her young adult daughter who she reported missing on Thursday at 1 a.m. Ptl. Kevin Peirsel took the report of the Chestnut Street mother who said her daughter had been gone for several hours and she did not know where she could be. Ptl. Kevin Peirsel and Sgt. Mark Johnson worked with Ptl. Brian Gordon of the and located the young adult at a residence where she was found safe and unharmed.

  • Police responded to a report of shoplifting at on Tuesday. According to police, the owner of 7-Eleven said that he had seen some suspicious behavior by a customer and then reviewed the store tape and saw a female with short, dark hair allegedly grab a number of items from the store shelf near the candy section and place them in her purse. Police said the female had left the store prior to the owner reviewing the tape and could not be located in the immediate area.
  • Gerald Matthews, 23, of , was picked up by the Bloomingdale Police Department from Butler police on Wednesday at 5:10 p.m. on a warrant out of Bloomingdale. He was transported to the Bloomingdale police station where police said he contacted a friend who posted $500 bail and he was released with a date to appear in court.
