Butler Detective Sworn in to Honor Legion Board

Butler Police Det. Colleen Pascale was sworn in as a trustee on the NJ Honor Legion Board Wednesday.

was sworn in as a trustee of the New Jersey Honor Legion on Wednesday. She is the second female law enforcement officer to be sworn in to the board.

Pascale has been a police officer with the Butler Police Department, the only department she has worked for, since July of 1992. She was the first female officer to be hired by the department and is currently the only female officer on duty.

Over her tenure, Pascale has earned numerous awards, including a 2008 Meritorious Award from the Morris County Detective's Association for a Butler sexual assault case and a 2009 Meritorious Award for a bias crime assault investigation. She was also recognized by Butler Police Chief Edward Card in 2010 with an Exceptional Duty Award. Chief Card nominated Pascale for the Honor Legion board.
