Police also said Reyes observed what appeared to be several handguns in the vehicle, and that when Kilhaney was asked to exit the vehicle, a gravity knife was discovered in his possession. Police said they discovered the handguns to be novelty weapons and that after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests, Kilhaney was transported to the police station.

Police said a breath test revealed his alcohol level to allegedly be double the legal limit. Kilhaney was charged with DWI, avoiding a traffic signal, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, failure to possess valid registration and an insurance card along with possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of alcoholic beverages by an underage person.

Riepe was arrested and transported to the police station. Police said he was charged with failure to maintain lamps and operating a motor vehicle with a faulty exhaust. Riepe posted bail and was released with a ticket to appear in court at a later date. Reyes assisted in the arrest.
