Police: Butler Man Allegedly Admits to Car Burglaries to Pay off Drug Supplier

A man allegedly admitted to police he recently committed a series of car burglaries to pay off his debt with a drug supplier, Butler Police said Thursday.

According to police, Butler Police Capt. Ciro Chimento and Det. Colleen Pascale received information about a series of car burglaries that had occurred in January and February in the area of Valley Road.

After bringing in Peter B. Derosso, 36, in for questioning, police said he allegedly admitted to the incidents. He told police he allegedly stole several items to apparently pay back his drug supplier for outstanding debt, according to police.

Derosso was charged with six counts of burglary and five counts of theft. Police said Derosso was charged and released on his own recognizance with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.
