UPDATE: Coolant Spilled on Route 23 After Fender Bender

No one injured in motor vehicle accident Friday.

Traffic was temporarily slowed on Route 23 South Friday afternoon due to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Cascade Way.

and were on the scene at 2:20 p.m. According to Butler police Acting Lt. Mike Moeller, the driver of a Chrysler sports utility vehicle was stopped in the middle lane of Route 23 South at the red light when the driver of a grey minivan approached the first vehicle from behind. The second driver allegedly did not see the car in front and struck the vehicle.

Moeller said no injuries were reported as a result of the accident, although coolant leaked on to the roadway and was cleaned by the Butler Fire Department.
