Butler to Host National Night Out in August

Family night of fun and food is sponsored by Butler Municipal Power and Light Authority.

The and will once again host the annual "Night Out" family event on Aug. 7.

The event, which is part of the national "Night Out" movement, promoting community spirit, police-community relations and supporting crime prevention, will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Butler Park and police headquarters.

"Night Out" is promoted by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice, according to the Butler Police Department.

This year's event will once again feature Italian ices, food and drinks, various giveaways and music from local radio station WGHT.
