Cash, Jewelry Taken in Residential Kinnelon Burglaries

Police investigating with Morris County Sherrif's Department.

are investigating two residential burglaries where money and jewelry appeared to be stolen.

On Friday, police said Sgt. Joseph Napoletano responded to a Mulberry Trail home at 2 p.m. where a resident reported that after leaving her home that morning, she returned to find her rear garage door open. Police said the victim said her house was ransacked and that cash, jewelry and medication were allegedly stolen.

A Cutlass Road resident called police at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday to report that between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., a person had allegedly broken into her home. Police said the victim reported that she noticed her front door unlocked, remembering locking it in the morning, and found her home ransacked and the rear sliding glass door open.

Police said cash and electronics appeared to be taken from the home.

Both investigations are being conducted in conjunction  with the Morris County Sherrif’s Department Criminal Investigation Unit. If anyone has information regarding either incident, they are being asked to contact the Kinnelon Police Department Detective Bureau at 973-838-5400.
