Chief: Butler Home Caught Fire in Kitchen

Firefighter transported to hospital with leg injury.

A kitchen fire at a home on Leonard Road, in , brought firefighters from and and first aid responders to the quiet neighborhood Friday afternoon.

One firefighter was transported to Chilton Hospital with a leg injury.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Butler Fire Chief Jim Neill said Friday.

Neill said the occupants of the home were all home at the time and reported the fire around 3:28 p.m. Upon arrival, Neill said the kitchen was in flames and there was smoke.

The fire officials were able to put out the fire after parts of the home were damaged, but none of the family members were injured.
