Driver Fell Asleep, Crashed Car on Glenwild Ave., Cops Say
Man charged with careless driving, driving with suspended license.
A North Bergen man was charged with careless driving after police said he fell asleep at the wheel and overturned his car on Glenwild Avenue on Wednesday.
Bloomingdale Police Ptl. Dan Fletcher said Kenneth Perez, 26, was driving around 8:30 a.m. when he lost control of his car after "momentarily falling asleep." Perez drove off the roadway and while attempting to return to Glenwild Avenue, the car rolled over on its side, Fletcher said.
Fletcher said the car needed to be towed from the scene.

Perez suffered minor cuts on his hand, which Tri-Boro First Aid Squad treated after responding.
In addition to careless driving, Fletcher said Perez was found to be driving with a suspended driver's license and issued a summons for such.
