Four Arrested on Marijuana Possession Charges

The following arrest information was supplied by the Kinnelon Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

arrested a  driver and three passengers on Boonton Avenue Wednesday after police said they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the driver’s 2007 Kia.

Boris Jurosevic, 20, of Riverdale, Anthony Rodriguez, 19, of Butler, Michele E. Moebius, 21, of Wayne, and a 15-year-old Butler teen were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to police, the vehicle was stopped on Boonton Avenue for entering the wrong lane of travel at about 8:50 p.m.

Police said when Ptl. Mark Ehrenburg was speaking to Jurosevic, the driver, the officer smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the car. Police then asked Jurosevic and the passengers to step out of the vehicle for questioning.

According to police, the passengers said they had no knowledge of marijuana being in the car, but that while searching the vehicle, police allegedly found marijuana in cigar wrapping and a $5 bill used to load marijuana into the cigar.

All four were brought to the Kinnelon police station. Jurosevic was also issued summonses for failing to keep right, maintenance of lamps and having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. All were released with tickets to appear in court and the 15-year-old was released to his mother.
