Injured Bicyclists Issued Summonses

Police said bicyclists failed to keep right before Fayson Lakes Road accident.

Two bicyclists Saturday morning and transported by medevac helicopters to Morristown Hospital were issued summonses for failing to keep right, Kinnelon police said.

David D. Goldstein, 42, of Bloomfield, suffered from broken ribs and a severe contusion on his left leg, Lt. John Schwartz said, and Earl P. Perretti, 56, of Montclair suffered a head injury.

Sgt. Joe Fidducia and Ptl. Sean Patalita responded to the scene near 37 Fayson Lakes Road at 10 a.m. Witnesses told police that Ethan F. Wood, 20, of Kinnelon, was driving a 2002 Honda north on Fayson Lakes Road when the bicyclists allegedly rode their bicycles into his lane, hitting his vehicle.

Goldstein and Peretti were transported to Stonybrook School where they were airlifted by two helicopters, the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit and the Atlantic Health Aviation helicopter.
