UPDATE: Cops: Juvenile Tried to Sell Drugs on School Property

Police said juvenile had bags of marijuana at the Samuel R. Donald School.

A male juvenile was arrested at the on Feb. 23 at 10:38 p.m. after police said he was found with a number of small bags believed to contain marijuana.

The juvenile, whose name was not released, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute on school property. Bloomingdale police Chief Joe Borell said the juvenile was not in the act of distributing drugs at the time of the arrest, however, since he was on school grounds when he was arrested, he was served with the additional charge. Borell also said the juvenile is not a student of the school.

said they received a report of a suspicious person at the school and when they arrived, they found the juvenile who allegedly matched the description. Police said they found the small bags of apparent marijuana near him.

He was arrested and transported to the police station and later turned over to custody of a parent.
