Kinnelon Hiker's Services to Be Held at Smoke Rise Inn

Bjoern Waalberg will be remembered by family and friends.

Services for a Kinnelon man who was found dead in the woods of the Apshawa Preserve in West Milford on Feb. 2 will be held Saturday at the Smoke Rise Village Inn.

Bjoern Waalberg, who was 51, was found by West Milford Search and Rescue team volunteers after his Labrador retriever, who he had been hiking with earlier that day, led them to his body.

A gathering will be held from noon to 4 p.m. a the Inn and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday for Waalberg. The community is invited to attend.
