A Kinnelon man has been charged with theft after he stole thousands of dollars worth of sneakers from a neighbor’s garage and then sold them in New York, police said.
Lloyd Alleyne, 32, of Kinnelon, was charged Monday after police discovered he stole 21 pairs of “high-end” sneakers from a neighbor’s garage, Detective Sgt. David Crouthamel said.
Alleyne sold the $6,000 worth of sneakers at “various locations” in New York City, Crouthamel said.
Alleyne was also charged with possession of stolen property. He was released pending an appearance in Morris County Superior Court.
