Kinnelon OEM Warns Residents of Frozen Pipes
Authorities remind residents they should know where they water shutoff value is.
The Kinnelon Office of Emergency Management has issued a warning to residents about the extreme cold potentially freezing pipes.
"This arctic blast has the potential to freeze pipes and seize car engines without a proper antifreeze mixture.
"Please make sure you and your family know where your water shutoff is. Be aware that frozenpipes usually don't become a problem until they thaw as the temperature rises. If you have pipes that are known problems turn the faucet on to a slow drip to avoid freezing."
