Kinnelon Police Investigating Kiel Avenue Burglary

Police said homeowner reported glass window broken.

are investigating an apparent burglary that was reported on Kiel Avenue Monday at 5:07 p.m.

According to police, Ptl. Nicholas Cifelli responded to the home where a friend of the homeowner who had been checking on the pets while the owners were away for the weekend said she arrived at the residence at 5 p.m. and found a glass window in the foyer broken.

Police said the friend did not enter the home, but called police immediately instead. The friend had advised police that the home had been left unattended since Friday afternoon.

Kinnelon police Det. Sgt. David Crouthamel and the Morris County Sheriff's Department Criminal Investigation Unit responded and are handling the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 973-838-5400.
