The following arrest information was supplied by the Kinnelon Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A group of teens were brought to the police station Monday evening after police said they were allegedly smoking marijuana in a vehicle parked at the water tower near Denise Drive.
The driver of the vehicle, Orrin Main, 18, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said he allegedly claimed ownership to the marijuana and smoking pipe in the vehicle. Steven T. Tegrar and Daniel C. DeGroot, both 18, were also brought to the police station, along with two 17-year-old males, for allegedly being under the influence of marijuana.
Police said they received a report of two suspicious vehicles on the road around 8:58 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, Ptl. Nicholas Cifelli said he noticed one empty vehicle and another vehicle driving towards him. Ptl. Cifelli stopped the vehicle and was met with Main.
