Main Street Open After Gas Line Struck

Police said no injuries or damage were reported.

Butler's Main Street is now open after police said a private contractor inadvertantly struck a gas line causing a small gas leak at 13 Main Street Tuesday afternoon.

Capt. Ciro Chimento said Butler police and Butler Fire Department responded to stabilize the accident scene. PSE&G also responded to repair the leak.

Chimento said no injuries were reported and no damage resulted from the incident.
