Man With Rifle Pinned to Ground in Bloomingdale

Bloomingdale man charged with terroristic threats, possession of firearm for unlawful purposes.

A Bloomingdale man carrying a .177 caliber air rifle was pinned to the ground Saturday night near Quick Chek after police said he had allegedly gotten in a dispute with two men, leaving the dispute and coming back with the rifle and threatening the men.

Robert Englehardt,24, was charged with two counts of terroristic threats, two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and possession of a firearm for unlawful purposes.

said they received a report of a male with a handgun on Hamburg Turnpike walking towards the municipal building. When police arrived at the scene, they found Jason O'Loughlin, 22, of Bloomingdale, pinning down Englehardt, who police said was holding the air rifle.

Police said Englehardt had a dispute with O'Loughlin and Marc Manfredonia, 20, of Boonton, at Quick Chek. O'Loughlin was able to subdue Englehardt until police arrived, according to police.

Englehardt was arrested and transported to the police station. He obtained a bail bondsmen, posted bail and was released with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.

Claude Rashduni, 46, of Emerson, was issued a summons on Wednesday for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver's license. Police said Rashduni was allegedly speeding on Route 287 when he was pulled over and found to be in violation of the suspended license. He was issued summonses for speeding, driving with a suspended license, operating an unregistered vehicle and failure to inspect his vehicle. Police said his vehicle was impounded.

Police also responded to a motor vehicle accident on Hamburg Turnpike near where police said no one was injured. Police said the driver of one of the vehicles, Gerard Immersi, 21 of Caldwell, was driving with a suspended driver's license. Immersi was issued a summons and released with a ticket to appear in court at a later date. Tri-boro First Aid Squard responded as a precaution.
