Mother Deer Attacks Dog in Bloomingdale

Police said mother protected fawn.

Animal Control responded to a Lakeside Avenue residence in Bloomingdale Wednesday where police said a deer had attacked a man's dog.

Bloomingdale polie said the resident believed his dog was attacked after the deer's fawn was trapped inside the resident's fence on the property and his dog had gone toward the deer when the dog was let out of the house.

Police said the mother fawn came from a wooded area on Charles Street and jumped the fence to get to the dog. Police said the dog had minor injuries from the deer's hooves.
