Motor Vehicle Theft Reported in Morse Lakes

Police said lose change was found on the ground outside of door.

are investigating an apparent motor vehicle theft that was reported on Tuesday at about 7:30 a.m.

Police said Ptl. Robert Grabowski arrived on the scene on Overlook Road in Morse Lakes where a resident’s guest reported that a vehicle had been parked overnight on the roadway and that the following day, they found loose change on the ground outside the vehicle’s door. Police said they believe an actor may have entered the unlocked door of the vehicle and taken an unknown amount of change, but that no other items were reported missing.

A 25-year-old man was charged with DWI Friday at 1:50 a.m. after police said he allegedly exhibited signs of intoxication when the vehicle he was driving was stopped on Reeve Avenue.

Vittorio Lesak was arrested and transported to the Bloomingdale police station, where he was also charged with careless driving and several other violations, police said. His vehicle was impounded.
